Wuqu’ Kawoq

A film with Wuqu’ Kawoq | Maya Health Alliance in the Guatemalan highlands. Health workers delivering much needed healthcare to the people in their home and in their language. The clinic is the path, and the language the work is done in.

Wuqu’ Kawoq means medicine on the Maya calendar. The film follows indigenous staff into kitchens, yards, and rooms where care actually happens.

Goal

Follow the work to the door. A film for an organisation whose staff already live in the field — so the picture matches the program.

Outcomes

A short promotional film the organisation can put in front of people who will never take that path, but who can experience it and live it, and inspire them to help however they can.
